INDONESIA: THE NEXT BATTLEFIELD

Indonesian model. (discover-indo.tierranet.com/indogirls1.htm)

A few years ago, at Inside Indonesia, Kurt Biddle wrote about Indonesia - US military ties :

"The Pentagon seems to be chomping at the bit for military involvement in Indonesia.

"One of the most vocal advocates for military ties with Indonesia is Deputy Secretary of Defence Paul Wolfowitz, a US ambassador to Indonesia for three years during the Reagan administration.
"He has repeatedly argued that Washington should help Indonesia fight terrorists.

"Wolfowitz told the Far Eastern Economic Review, 'Going after Al Qaeda in Indonesia is not something that should wait until after Al Qaeda has been uprooted from Afghanistan.'

"It remains to be seen if and how the US will be involved in Indonesia, but with 600 US military 'advisers' on the ground in the neighbouring Philippines, some see Indonesia as the next battlefield."

Indonesians

In the USA and Europe, false flag terrorism is allegedly used to increase the power of the military.

In Indonesia, certain generals reportedly want to increase the already considerable powers of the military.

In Indonesia, a new Secrecy Bill could mean that journalists reporting on sensitive issues could face imprisonment or the death penalty.

(Secrecy bill threatens press freedom The Jakarta Post )

A struggle has been going on, since at least 1998, to increase the powers of the military.

In Indonesia, two members of Kopassus (Indonesia's special forces) were convicted and jailed for the stock exchange bombing, which took place in 2000.

In 2002, The Age, a major Australian newspaper, commented about the stock exchange bombing:

"Indonesian military elements were prepared to cause massive casualties and huge economic disruption in their own capital for the purposes of elite-level politics."

(Should the military be on the list of suspects? - theage.com.au)

Indonesian dance

On 7 November 2002, Tom Fawthrop, at Asia Times, reported on the Indonesian military's links to terror:

"The highly politicized Indonesian military, trained in waging terror during more than 30 years of General Suharto's dictatorship, are among the suspects in last month's Bali bombing, according to a respected Indonesian commentator."

Wimar Witoelar, former spokesman for ex-president Abdurrahman Wahid, said "the plot is probably hatched by hardline military rogues. This is certainly an excuse for a military takeover unless it is preempted."

The militant Moslem organisations Jemaah Islamiyah and Laskar Jihad both have links with Indonesian generals.

According to Australian academic Dr Greg Barton, certain Indonesian generals use the various Islamist militias for their own purposes.

Barton says (Asia Times): "In early 2000, when President Wahid sacked General Wiranto over the East Timor post-ballot massacres and began to push hard for profound reforms within the military, non-Islamist, nationalist generals joined forces with generals known to be religious hardliners to use radical Islamist militia to destabilize the Wahid administration."

Members of the Cokar, an Ambon militia, admitted they had been trained and funded by Kopassus (Asia Times).

An Indonesian

Many of Suharto's top generals remain in leadership positions.

President Yudhoyono and his two main political rivals, Prabowo and Wiranto, are all former Suharto generals.

Who carried out the Bali Bombing, which incidentally helped General Yudhoyono to come to power?

The airline manifest of Garuda has confirmed that at least two military generals from Jakarta happened to visit Bali just three days before the bombings and that they returned to Jakarta just one day before the Sari Club was blown up. (Asia Times)

The two generals were General Djaja Suparman and General Ryamizard Riyacudu.

Jakarta human-rights activist Bonar Naipospos told Asia Times Online: "General Suparman is one of the generals who was behind the extremist Jihad groups. He set up militias composed of gangsters and religious fanatics to counter student demonstrations in 1998. One of these militias, Pram Swarkasa, became the embryo of Laskar Jihad."

Bonar Naipospos commented to Asia Times Online: "I believe the military is involved in the bombing, but I fear the Bali police chief is in a difficult position and they will not follow leads to high-ranking people."

"The army is behind the jihad"

Noordin Top is the Malaysian alleged to be behind the Jakarta hotel bombings of July 2009.

He may well have links to the security services. (NOORDIN TOP WORKS FOR THE SECURITY SERVICES?)

On 7 July 2009, Indonesian police reported that two men, who were believed to be Noordin Top's bodyguards, had been arrested in a workshop in a market in Temanggung and had led police to a house in the same area.

(Wanted Terrorist Noordin M Top Believed Dead)

TV footage showed police from the anti-terrorism unit creeping towards the house.

This looks like a well-planned psyop?

Reportedly the police shot Noordin dead.

Indonesia's Tempo magazine, 4 August 2009, reports on the Small World of Noordin Top, a Big Fugitive.

From this we learn that Noordin Top has lived in Pasuruhan village in the Cilacap district in Indonesia.

Indonesia's Kopassus regiment trains in Cilakap.

Koppasus are suspected of being behind the decades of terrorism in Indonesia.

(aangirfan: Kopassus, Cilacap and the Jakarta hotel bombs.)

On 8 July 2009, at a house in Bekasi, "two suspected militants were killed and three were arrested" during a police raid. (Indonesian Police Kill 2 Suspected Militants Outside Jakarta, Find 500 kg of Bombs)

Officers "seized explosives and a car bomb".

"The two men killed in the raid were identified as ex-prisoner Air Setyaawan, believed to be connected to the bomb attack on the Australian Embassy in Jakarta in 2004, and Eko Peyang, suspected of being a bomb assembler."

How easy is it to get a prisoner to become a patsy?

The Jakarta Post reports that the Police foiled a plot to kill the Indonesian president

"National Police chief Gen. Bambang Hendarso Danuri said the terror group intentionally rented a house in Jatiasih in the West Java town of Bekasi, which is located 12 minutes drive from the president’s private residence in Cikeas in the West Java town of Bogor.

“Why Jatiasih? Because it is situated just about 12 minutes drive from the president’s [private] residence. It’s a legal fact that the target is the president’s house,” Bambang told a media conference on 8 August 2009.

Police claim to have identified "the two suicide bombers responsible for the July 17 attacks on the Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott hotels in Jakarta". (Police Identify Jakarta Hotel Bombers)

Bogor resident Dani Pramana, aged 19, has been identified as the bomber responsible for the attack on the JW Marriott Hotel.

Iwan Maulana, 28, from Pandeglang has been identified as having bombed the Ritz-Carlton Hotel.

Were they patsies? (aangirfan: THE USE OF PATSIES IN THE JAKARTA HOTEL BOMBINGS? )

Dr George J. Aditjondro is the leading expert on Indonesian politics.

Aditjondro wrote, in October 2002, that Indonesia's military and business elites have very close ties to Israel and Mossad.

Here is an extract from a program produced by SBS, Australia's Special Broadcasting Services (Inside Indonesia's War on Terror):

George Aditjondro says that in every Indonesian hotspot, the army foments trouble by funding and arming both sides. In the case of Central Sulawesi, both Muslim and Christian militia.

GEORGE ADITJONDRO: So the money does not have to come from rich people like Osama bin Laden and the weapons don't have to come from southern Philippines or from other exotic places but is actually coming from the official sources and that is why I am saying that the kind of terrorism which we see in Indonesia is home grown terrorism. It's a kind of duel function or triple function of the armed forces.

The late reverand Agustina Lumentut told me in 2001 that the Indonesian military was using proxy armies to do their dirty work.

THE LATE REVEREND AGUSTINA LUMENTUT: It is for sure, for sure that the army is behind the jihad, or in front of jihad, yeah. No other interpretation.

It was proved beyond all doubt that one of the extremist groups, the Laskar Jihad, was supplied, transported and incited by the central government to go on its murderous spree.

THE LATE REVEREND AGUSTINA LUMENTUT: Who dare among them to say "Stop going that." Because they have reason for doing that, they are registered officially by the government, the central government.

Indonesia's President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is applauded in Australia as a moderate Muslim leading the fight against terror in Indonesia. But as the influential coordinating minister for politics and security, he chose not to stop the Laskar Jihad and was even supporting them.

PLOT AGAINST THE PRESIDENT.

Susilo Bangbang Yudhoyono and friend.

Obama has not yet been to Indonesia.

Reportedly, there has been a plot to kill Indonesia's President Yudhoyono.

On 8 July 2009, at a house in Bekasi, 12 minutes drive from the president's house, "two suspected militants were killed and three were arrested" during a police raid.

(Indonesian Police Kill 2 Suspected Militants Outside Jakarta, Find 500 kg of Bombs)

One of the men killed in the raid was identified as ex-prisoner Air Setiawan.

Air Setiawan was jailed for his role in the Australian Embassy bombing in 2004.

He was released from jail in 2007.

The Indonesian military is said to hate Australians because of their intervention in East Timor.

The main victims in so many of the terror attacks in Indonesia have been Australians.

Reportedly, in Indonesia, certain right-wing generals are not very happy with President Susilo Yudhoyono, who is a former general, and a little bit of a reformer.

In Indonesia, in the first half of 2009, there was a presidential election campaign, involving at least 4 generals, including Susilo Yudhoyono, Prabowo and Wiranto.

Reportedly, some of the military have had an 'Anyone But Susilo Yudhoyono' campaign.

The generals are usually allied to the rich elite; and that apparently suits the Pentagon.

Tempo Magazine (No. 24/IX February 10-16, 2009) (SBY vs The TNI: War of Whispers [+Editorial: After the ABS Rumor] )tells us:

"RUMORS abound that presidential candidates from the ranks of retired generals are making use of their ex-subordinates' loyalty to form political lobbies...

"PRESIDENTIAL spokesperson Andi Mallarangeng confirmed that the information on military notables who had been engaged in the 'Anyone but 'S' for President' or ABS campaign did enter the Palace..."

In early 2009, "Army Chief of Staff, General Agustadi Sasongko Purnomo gathered around 200 retired generals in the Balai Kartini in Jalan Gatot Subroto, Jakarta.

"Present were, among others, former Army Chief of Staff, Gen. (ret) Ryamizard Ryacudu..."

Reportedly, at the time of the Bali bombings, one of the generals who just happened to be in Bali was army chief of staff Gen. Ryamizard Ryacudu. [Jakarta Post, 1/3/2003; Pacific Media Watch, 3/31/2003] (Ryamizard Ryacudu)

Back in November 2004, Susilo Yudhoyono appeared not to be in favour of Ryamizard Ryakudu becoming military chief. (http://www.infid.be/military_topjob.htm Source The Jakarta Post)

Yudhoyono "reshuffled Indonesia's top brass in preparation for US-educated army chief Djoko Santoso to take over the military in place of the xenophobic heir apparent General Ryamizard Ryacudu." (Canberra eyes military ties with Jakarta - Military Photos)

Indonesians are not always great fans of the military.

Admiral Dennis Blair, currently director of US national intelligence, reportedly offered the Indonesian military increased assistance at the time when its troops and militias were murdering innocent civilians in East Timor.

(Obama’s Indonesia question )

Admiral Blair presumably is a fan of certain Indonesian generals.

Former general Prabowo Subianto, who heads the Gerindra Party, "has paid lip-service to democratic principles, but most observers believe that his election as president would lead Indonesia onto the path of neo-authoritarianism." (Chaos and consolidation )

(See article by Dirk Tomsa).

General Wiranto "has pledged his loyalty to the democratic system, but leaders of his Hanura Party (People’s Conscience Party) have privately stated their ambition to roll back democratic reforms achieved since 1998." (Chaos and consolidation )

Indonesians

The USA has been interfering violently in Indonesia for many years.

Back in the 1950s, the CIA and MI6 were working with Moslem groups and sections of the Indonesian military to try to destabilise the Indonesian president.

President Sukarno was seen as being neutral rather than hostile towards Russia and China, and this did not suit the US and UK.

In 1958, CIA planes were bombing Indonesia, in the hope that the bombs would be blamed on Moslems. (Indonesia 1957-1958 KH)

"A plane bombed a ship in the harbor of the island of Ambon ... as well as hitting a church ...700 casualties had resulted from this single run...

"A CIA plane bombed the Ambon marketplace, killing a large number of civilians on their way to church...

"Three days later, during another bombing run over Ambon, a CIA pilot, Allen Lawrence Pope, was shot down and captured.

"Thirty years old, from Perrine, Florida ... was to spend four years as a prisoner in Indonesia before Sukarno acceded to a request from Robert Kennedy for his release.

"Pope was captured carrying a set of incriminating documents, including those which established him as a pilot for the US Air Force and the CIA airline CAT."

Blair knows a number of the Indonesian generals.

CAN YOU TRUST THE POLICE AND MILITARY IN INDONESIA?

Indonesians.

Air Setyawan and Eko Joko Sarjono are suspected of having planned to attack Indonesia's President, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

Reportedly Air and Eko were killed during a raid in Bekasi, near the home of the president.

However, on 10 August 2009, the Jakarta Globe tells us that the families of the two terror suspects cannot confirm their sons' deaths

The families of the two suspected terrorists, Air Setyawan and Eko Joko Sarjono, are not convinced their sons were among those killed during a police raid in Bekasi, their lawyer said on 10 August.

The lawyer for the families of Air and Eko, Muhammad Kurniawan, said that police have not allowed family members to see their bodies or pictures from the coroner’s autopsy.

National Police Chief Gen. Bambang Hendarso Danuri said that Air was a former prisoner who had been charged with involvement in the 2004 Australian Embassy bombing.
However, the lawyer for Air's family said that Air was only detained for about a month.

Then the charges were dropped and Air was released.

Does it sound as if elements of the police and military might be behind the 'terrorism' in Indonesia and that those who get blamed for the 'terrorism' are often simple patsies?

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and First Lady Kristiani Herawati visit the location of the 2005 Bali bombings

What do we know about the police in Indonesia?

The Jakarta post once claimed that over half the crime in Jakarta was carried out by the police and the military.

According to The Jakarta Post, on 8 August 2009 ( C. Jakarta 'safer', but has its danger areas Each district has its own crime story):

In Jakarta, "Kampung Boncos in Tanah Abang ... is renowned as the place to find putaw (low-grade heroine).

"The quiet and upscale Menteng district also has its own 'red' zone, namely Menteng Trenggulun, where people can find shabu-shabu (crystal methamphetamine) dealers.

"Red areas are usually full of criminals, headed by a boss with 'connections' to high-ranked police officers.

"Criminals feel safer doing business in those areas as their boss can 'fix' any legal problems."

Amnesty International released an 84-page report on Indonesia detailing police brutality. (Corrupt police stigma still strong among Jakarta public.)

In 2007, a UN special rapporteur for torture visited Indonesia and found police used torture as a "routine practice in Jakarta and other metropolitan areas of Java".

Jakarta Hilton

In 2005, in Jakarta's Hilton hotel, Adiguna Sutowo, high on alcohol and crystal meth, got angry with a waiter and shot him dead.

Adiguna was given a 7 year jail sentence but rumour has it that he has not had to spend too much time in jail.

(If You Have Money, You Can Buy the Law « My Busy Brain)

The Jakarta Hilton hotel, along with four other Indonesian Hilton Hotels, belongs to the Sutowo family.

General Ibnu Sutowow was the boss of the state owned Pertamina oil company.

Pertamina acquired $14 billion worth of debt in the 70s. But the Sutowow family became very rich.

Indonesia is still run by the military. The president is a former general.

Former militia leader Eurico Guterres, the only Indonesian jailed for the destruction of East Timor that claimed about 1500 lives in 1999, was acquitted by a Jakarta court.

That decision meant that all the men, most of them Indonesian military officers, charged by Indonesian prosecutors over the violence during the 1999 independence referendum have now been acquitted. - Jakarta judges clear ex-militia leader over Timor carnage

Indonesia in former times. (Bestand : Familie Ds Van Dijk Bij Ford)

Melody Kemp, at onlineopinion.com, 10 January 2008, has an utterly brilliant article on Indonesia entitled:

The good, the bad and the hopeful - reflecting on Indonesia

She writes:

The old town known as Kota (in Jakarta) ... is now a no-go area where violence and drug taking have escalated...

Toll roads still owned by the Soeharto family, are groaning with cars...

People look more stressed than before.

As the cost of living hikes leave more and more poor behind, crime and meaningless jobs multiply alongside each other...

And the rich are richer... We stayed at the very popular Novotel... The hotel is now surrounded by multimillion dollar homes.

Huge mansions bristling with stainless steel three-storey high windows and doubtless, an alarming number of bathrooms.

I wondered hopefully if the owners paid taxes.

For the first time an Indonesian, the Minister for Social Welfare, made the list of Forbes 100 richest men.

He is at the centre of the case of the ongoing destructive mud eruptions in East Java that have made life misery for many Indonesians.

And for which the good Minister for Social Welfare refuses to take any responsibility.

Indonesia’s problem is not poverty but distribution.

And the powers-that-be continue to refuse to acknowledge this - as do aid donors, including Australia.

Policies that favour the rich, such as education fees, are still promulgated by the World Bank, eager it seems to live up to its reputation as an instrument of blind capitalism...

The World Bank, we were told by one of their consultants, had earmarked a US$800 million loan, ready to go.

Apparently no planning guidelines, or projects had been identified, nor guidelines for disbursal, monitoring or evaluation.

It was simply a “give ‘em the loan and saddle ‘em with debt” strategy...

Soeharto, in effect, turned Indonesia into one huge franchising operation from which he and his family profited; and continue to do so.

The recent Bali Climate Carnival was held in Soeharto-owned hotels.

While Sadam killed thousands and was hanged, Soeharto stole from and killed millions, and lives on. Justice is not a notable feature of Indonesia, or of American patronage...

The ABC Asian news services recently trumpeted that Jema’ah Islamiya had a membership of 9,000 ...

What they failed to add was that in a population of 260 million, 9,000 does not represent recruitment success.

Repeatedly Islamic parties do poorly in the elections.

Radical Islam is less popular than Family First.

But that could change.

Officials in the Ministry of Religion are beginning to acknowledge that Indonesia could soon be an Islamic state given current Western inspired wars, impoverishment of Muslim communities, ongoing judicial corruption and mismanagement of community conflicts and misdirected aid...

Islamic schools are free and are used increasingly by the poor in the wake of user-pays education cost rises...

Indonesian’s major complaint to me was that user-pays education excludes the poor ...

Into this come the Muslim carpetbaggers from Malaysia and Saudi Arabia using Syhari’a principles to influence Indonesian children to take up the puritan form that they espouse.

I noticed a greater number of swathed heads and long gowns as well as an increase in the number of tragic threadbare beards...

But the message is the Saudi influence is biting.

The way to combat radical Islam is not by weapons, spies and training police, but by supporting the majority of moderate Muslims who want a good education for their children to open the doors of opportunity for which they don’t have the key.

Death of the 'patsy' who would whistle and flirt?

Ibrahim, the flirting florist.

The Jakarta hotel bombings 'mastermind' Noordin Top is apparently still alive, but one of the 'patsies', the florist called Ibrahim, has apparently been bumped off.

Jakarta Bomb Suspect Noordin Top Not Dead

The police have now 'confirmed' that hotel florist Ibrahim was the man killed in a police raid in Central Java, not Noordin M Top.

Was Ibrahim a patsy?

The Jakarta Globe, 12 August 2009, tells us that Fellow Florists Remember Terror Suspect Ibrahim As 'Sociable' and 'Friendly'

Ibrahim was a "regular man" who "liked to crack jokes," his former colleagues have told Metro TV.

Florist Adriana Rosi said that in her last conversation before the bomb attacks, "Ibrahim told me he needed money for his child’s school tuition so he had to sell his motorbike."

Rosi said that she and her other colleagues were shocked to hear that Ibrahim was allegedly involved with terrorism.

"He was sociable, friendly and he liked to crack jokes,” Rosi said.

“He was just a regular person, a regular man.

"When he saw a beautiful colleague, he would whistle and flirt.

"I still can’t believe it.

"He was a funny guy."

The police allege that Ibrahim was a Key Player in Jakarta's Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott Bombings.

Remember East Timor? (Photo by United Nations Photo)

A certain group is trying to mislead the public about 'terrorism' in Indonesia.

The indonesian police and military want tougher laws against terrorism

The Pentagon most likely agrees with this as it would like to get deeper into bed with the Indonesian generals.

Enter Noordin Top.

Reportedly, an email "sent by Noordin Top", and published on www.bagustv.com on 13 August 2009, is a fake.

On 13 August 2009, the Jakarta Globe reported that an IT expert says the E-mail Was Not Written By Noordin M Top: IT Expert

The information technology expert said that the method of communication was too simple and too easy to trace for a man on the run from authorities.

Ruby Alamsyah told Metro TV that the email was sent by hacking the password and username of the site owner, Bagus Febrianto.

Ruby said the choice of words was too 'naive' for a terrorist.

According to Ruby, "the email is not from terrorist because the method [hacking] is too simple. Terrorists would have used a more sophisticated method that would be very difficult to trace because they have the resources to do that."

In the email, the sender claimed to be Noordin M Top and said that he was in Temanggung, Central Java, during the recent police raid.

Remember East Timor? (photo by yeowatzup)

Complete translation of the e-mail:

Assalammualaikum Wr. Wb.

I am Noordin M Top, and I wish to verify that the one who died in Temanggung was Ibrohim, also known as Boim.

I was indeed at Temanggung during the time with my two guards and Ibrohim, but during the raid I managed to escape from the police.

I will never give up until America and its accomplices leave Iraq and other Islamic countries.

We have grounds for why we will keep on terrorizing foreigners:

1. As a revenge for what America and its accomplices have done to our Muslim and Mujahidin brothers all over the world.

2. To destroy their power in this country where they are thieves and robbers of Muslim’s valuables.

3. To get them out of Muslim countries, especially Indonesia.

4. The message is meant to heal the hearts of Muslims who are being tortured and abused all over the world. Lastly, the message will give new spirit to Muslims and revive the obligation of martyrdom which is the only way to revive the passing Rosyidah Leadership, if God is willing.

Amir Tandzim Al Qo’idah Indonesia

Abu Mu’awwidz Nur Din bin Muhammad Top

The objectives of the e-mail may be:

1. To get people to think that the hotel bombings could not be the work of people linked to the military and certain security services.

2. To increase the power of the military and police in Indonesia, and in the USA.

3. To promote the idea of the need for a 'War on Terror' and the stationing of US troops in various countries around the world.

Kopassus, Cilacap and the Jakarta hotel bombs.

Koppasus special forces. Image from: kebangkitan-kita.blogspot.com/

Kopassus is the Indonesian special forces regiment.

Some people suspect that the American-trained Kopassus is behind the 'terrorism' in Indonesia.

Kopassus was at one time run by General Prabowo, rival to president Yudhoyono.

Kopassus has a song: "Dari Bandung ke Cilacap".

Kopassus trains in Cilacap.

Alleged Jakarta hotel bomber Noordin Top has family in the town of Cilacap.

Cilacap is seven hours by train from Jakarta.

Kopassus trains in Cilacap. The alleged Jakarta hotel bombers come from Cilacap

On 24 July 2009, we learn from TEMPO Interactive about Ahmadi, 39, alias Ahmad Jenggot.

Ahmadi comes from Cilacap.

He is a chicken farmer and does not have a family certificate or ID card. This could suggest that he may be a poor, and poorly educated, villager.

Reportedly, Ahmadi has given himself up to the authorities and admitted that he had been prepared by Noordin Top for 'a suicide bombing.'

A Chicken Farmer Prepared for Suicide Bombing

Ahmadi's friend Saefudin Zuhri was arrested before the recent hotel bombings; and he is also from Cilacap.

Zuhri reportedly fought in Afghanistan in the CIA's jihad operation. (Regular trips to Jakarta point to bomb suspect)

Bahrudin Latif is also from Cilacap.

He is the 'father-in-law' of Noordin Top.

Some weeks before the Jakarta hotel bombings, the police claimed they found two bombs wrapped in a blue plastic bag in the back yard of Bahrudin's house.

Many of the security staff in Jakarta are off-duty members of the military.

Reportedly, a Mr Aziz took a suitcase into the Marriott hotel.

(Inside information from flower seller who had run of five-star hotels)

The suitcase was not checked through an X-ray machine or subjected to any scrutiny.

All the Marriott's four vapour detectors, which are used to look for explosives, 'were out of order'.

The reception staff could not make a copy of his Indonesian identification card 'because the two photocopying machines at the front desk were unavailable.'

Could this be an inside-job?

The Pentagon's friend General Prabowo headed Kopassus

A series of 38 church bombings on Christmas Eve, 2000, killed 19 people in 11 Indonesian cities.

(Source: Kopassus)

Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) was blamed.

However, in February 2001, the respected Indonesian newsweekly Tempo published a cover story suggesting links between the bombings and the Indonesian military, the TNI.

The article pointed out that Edi Sugiarto, who was quickly arrested and confessed to assembling 15 of the bombs used in the town of Medan, has long run a car repair shop in the province of Aceh, where a separatist group named GAM has been fighting for many years.

Members of TNI and Indonesia’s special forces, Kopassus, regularly went to his shop for repairs and just to hang out.

As a result, GAM claimed he was a TNI lackey and burned down his shop and house in 1997.

Phone records also indicated that Sugiarto called Fauzi Hasbi seven times before the bombings.

Hasbi is a leader of JI, but Tempo outed him as an Indonesian government mole.

In 2005, two years after Hasbi’s death, the Australian television program SBS Dateline provided additional evidence of Hasbi’s long-time links to the TNI.

Fasbi also called Jacob Tanwijaya, a businessman well connected with the TNI, 35 times.

That businessman in turn talked on the phone to Lt. Col. Iwan Prilianto, a Kopassus special forces intelligence officer, over 70 times. (Source: Kopassus)

"It is the most important country in Southeast Asia by size, strategic location, and democratic values.

"The good sense behind forging a closer US-Indonesia relationship is the same today as it was yesterday.

"If anything, the terrorist attacks should only strengthen American and Indonesian resolve to fully realize the enormous potential in their relationship."

According to Killing Hope: US Military and CIA Interventions Since World War II by William Blum (Indonesia 1957-1958)

"In the early months of 1958, rebellion began to break out in one part of the Indonesian island chain, then another.

"CIA pilots took to the air to carry out bombing and strafing missions in support of the rebels.

"In Washington, Col. Alex Kawilarung, the Indonesian military attache, was persuaded by the Agency to "defect".

"He soon showed up in Indonesia to take charge of the rebel forces...

"Sukarno later claimed that on a Sunday morning in April, a plane bombed a ship in the harbor of the island of Ambon - all those aboard losing their lives - as well as hitting a church, which demolished the building and killed everyone inside.

"He stated that 700 casualties had resulted from this single run.

"On 15 May, a CIA plane bombed the Ambon marketplace, killing a large number of civilians on their way to church on Ascension Thursday...

"Three days later, during another bombing run over Ambon, a CIA pilot, Allen Lawrence Pope, was shot down and captured.

"Thirty years old, from Perrine, Florida, Pope had flown ... in Korea for the Air Force...

"He was to spend four years as a prisoner in Indonesia before Sukarno acceded to a request from Robert Kennedy for his release.

"Pope was captured carrying a set of incriminating documents, including those which established him as a pilot for the US Air Force and the CIA airline CAT...

"On 27 May the pilot and his documents were presented to the world at a news conference, thus contradicting several recent statements by high American officials.

Reportedly, The USA has used militant Moslems in Russia, China, India & Indonesia.

Reportedly, the CIA likes to make life difficult for countries that are potential rivals, such as Russia, China, Iran, Turkey and Indonesia.

Reportedly the CIA likes to promote militant Islam.

Russia has between 19 million and 22 million Muslims. China has some 20 million Muslims. These Muslims can be stirred up.

In The Age, (We must not get back in bed with Kopassus - theage.com.au), Dr Damien Kingsbury, head of philosophical, political and international studies at Deakin University, wrote about Moslem militants in Indonesia and their links to the military.

1. Komando Jihad, which became Jemaah Islamiah - was set up by (American trained) Indonesian generals.

Dr Kingsbury wrote: "Kopassus (Indonesian special forces)... has engaged in... hostage rescue missions. The first was in 1981, when a Garuda aircraft was hijacked.... Kopassus... set up the Islamic organisation Komando Jihad that hijacked the plane in 1981 and which has since emerged as Jemaah Islamiah."

2. Laskar Jihad - was set up by (American trained) generals.

Jakarta human-rights activist Bonar Naipospos told Asia Times Online:

"General Suparman is one of the generals who was behind the extremist Jihad groups. He set up militias composed of gangsters and religious fanatics to counter student demonstrations in 1998. One of these militias, Pram Swarkasa, became the embryo of Laskar Jihad." (

We should also note that:

3. Bali bomb 'mastermind' Al Faruq - 'worked for the CIA.'

Former Indonesian State Intelligence Coordinating Board (BAKIN) chief A.C. Manulang was quoted by Tempo magazine as suggesting that Al-Farouq was a CIA-recruited agent.

According to a news story in the Sydney Morning Herald, November 2, 2002:

"Some time around the 30 October 2002, senior officers in the Indonesian military HQ gave a piece of information to a military attache from a Western embassy in Indonesia -the source of explosive used in the October 12 bombing in Bali was the head of the counter-terrorism unit with the army's special forces."

The father-in-law of the officer concerned is Hendropriyono, Indonesia's spy chief.

Kuwaiti citizen Omar Al Faruq was arrested in Bogor on June 5, 2002 and handed over to US authorities. Al Faruq was able to escape from custody.

The airline manifest of Garuda airlines shows that at least two generals from Jakarta visited Bali three days before the bombings and that they returned to Jakarta one day before the Sari Club was blown up. This was confirmed by armed forces chief General Sutarto, who claimed that General Djaja Suparman was on vacation, while General Ryamizard Riyacudu, chief of staff, was said to have gone to Bali for health reasons. (Jakarta Post)

4. Islamic guerrillas in the 1960s - were supported by Britain's MI6

The following is from The Independent (UK):

"Cabinet papers show that British spies, including MI6, supported Islamic guerrillas in order to destabilise Sukarno." (Revealed: Healey admits role in British dirty tricks campaign to overthrow Indonesia's President Sukarno, By Paul Lashmar and James Oliver, The Independent - 16 April 2000) The Secret State: MI5 (
The Secret State: MI5 (Home Office/MoD), The Security Service and ...)

The following is taken from
The British, Muslim Terrorism and September 11

"Prior to World War II British Intelligence cultivated ties with the (Muslim) Brotherhood through agent Freya Stark, the British adventurer and writer (A Brutal Friendship - The West and the Arab Elite, Said K. Aburish, 1997) ... The Muslim Brotherhood spread throughout the Muslim world and has evolved into something like a Muslim equivalent of the West's Masonic brotherhood. It became one of the first Islamic Fundamentalist terror organizations...

"According to CIA agent Miles Copeland, the Americans began looking for a Muslim Billy Graham around 1955... When finding or creating a Muslim Billy Graham proved elusive, the CIA began to cooperate with the Muslim Brotherhood, the Muslim mass organization founded in Egypt but with followers throughout the Arab Middle East... This signalled the beginning of an alliance between the traditional regimes and mass Islamic movements against Nasser and other secular forces." (
A Brutal Friendship - The West and the Arab Elite)

The CIA was following the example of British Intelligence and sought to use Islam to further its goals. They wanted to find a charismatic religious leader that they could promote and control and they began to cooperate with groups such as the Muslim Brotherhood. With the rise of Nasser the Brotherhood was also courted more seriously by the pro-Western Arab regimes of Saudi Arabia and Jordan. They needed all the popular support that they could muster against the rise of Nasser-inspired Arab nationalism to keep their regimes intact.

The Muslim Brotherhood was an obvious ally against Nasser, because he had abolished it from Egypt after it was involved in a failed assassination attempt on his life in 1954. The Brotherhood rejected Nasser's policy that, for the most part, kept religion out of politics. Officially the Brotherhood was an outlawed organization, but it remained influential and active within Egypt working against the secular regime, often hand-in-hand with British Intelligence. In June of 1955 MI6 was already approaching the Brotherhood in Syria to agitate against the new government that showed strong left-wing tendencies and a desire to merge with Egypt. The Brotherhood became an even more important asset after Nasser announced the Egyptian takeover of the Suez...

In Syria, in 1982, there was a major conflict between the Muslim Brotherhood and the Syrian government at the city of Hamma that resulted in 20,000 casualties. In the aftermath Syria's President Asad revealed that the Muslim Brotherhood forces were armed with US-made equipment...

Israel, forever inclined to back divisive movements, surfaced as another supporter of Islam and began to fund the Muslim Brotherhood and the Palestinian Islamic movement Hamas.

The most noteworthy success of the Islamic movement during this time was of course the overthrow of the Shah of Iran and the installation of the Ayatollah Khomeini as the Islamic dictator. British Intelligence had used their contacts with Iran's mullahs and ayatollahs to help overthrow Mossadegh and install the Shah back in 1953, and these contacts were maintained and used again to overthrow the Shah when his regime fell out of favor."

ECONOMIC HITMAN IN INDONESIA

.

How do you explain the bombs in Jakarta hotels in July 2009?

On 9 July 2009, China launched its first Indonesia-China Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone in Jakarta, capital of Indonesia.

(China Daily Website - Connecting China Connecting the World )

Trade between China and Indonesia in the first half of 2008 saw an increase of 34.6% over the same period of 2007.

Export from China to Indonesia were up 38.8%, while China imported USD 7852 million worth of goods, an increase of 30.6%.

(Indonesia-China Economic Relations: An Indonesian Perspective )

In 2006, Indonesia's President Yudhoyono visited Russia and signed a wide raft of bilateral agreements, including big new arms, energy and trade deals.

(Asia Times Online :: Southeast Asia news - Indonesia-Russia: Arms ... )

The USA would not be happy if Indonesia became too close to countries like China, or Russia.

Confessions of an Economic Hit Man is a book written by John Perkins.

"Covertly recruited by the United States National Security Agency and on the payroll of an international consulting firm, he traveled the world - to Indonesia..."

Perkins' first job was in Indonesia.

He was to try to persuade the Indonesian government to allow U.S. corporations to build various huge projects.

The U.S. wanted to control Indonesia, in order to ensure American dominance in Southeast Asia.

Perkins wrote (Confessions of an Economic Hit Man - encyclopedia):

"There were two primary objectives of my work.

"First I was to justify huge international loans that would funnel money to Main and other US companies (such as Bechtel, Halliburton, Stone & Webster and Brown & Root) through massive engineering and construction projects.

"Second, I would work to bankrupt the countries that received those loans . . . so they would be for ever beholden to their creditors, and so they would present easy targets when we [the US] needed favours, including military bases, UN votes or access to oil and other natural resources."

And if a government, like that in Indonesia, does not cooperate with the USA, then perhaps some bombs can go off?

The US government might need the help of its agents within the Indonesian military?

Reportedly, in many countries from Indonesia to Iraq, it is the CIA, or its rivals, who own many members of the local military.

"At Nigeria's Defence Intelligence School ... 30 military officers from seven African countries graduated from a training course...

"Ostensibly organised by Nigeria's Defence Intelligence Agency, the 12-week 'Military Intelligence Basic Officers' Course for Africa' - the third this year after two in Mali - was in fact designed by the controversial United States African Command." ( The new scramble for Africa)

NOORDIN TOP WORKS FOR THE SECURITY SERVICES?

Noordin Top

The name of Malaysian born Noordin Top, of Jemaah Islamiyah, has been linked to the July 2009 Jakarta hotel bombs.

(Malaysia fugitive terrorist linked to Jakarta's suicide bombing)

Reportedly, the police found handwritten notes, a cell phone and a bomb in room 1808 of the Marriott, where the bombers had reportedly lived for several days.

Reportedly, one of the men who checked into room 1808 had told a hotel receptionist his name was "Noordin."

(Indonesia suspects fugitive terrorist in bombings - Yahoo! News)

So, the stupid terrorists or patsies provided the police with lots of evidence.

Former Indonesian president, Abdurrahman Wahid was saying in 2005 of the Bali bombings:
“The orders to do this or that came from within our armed forces… There is not a single Islamic group … that is not controlled by (Indonesian) intelligence.”

Jemaah Islamiyah is thought to have been set up by the American trained Indonesian military.

1. "Southeast Asia's most wanted terror suspect, Noordin Top, may have evaded a massive manhunt and fled Indonesia...

"Top is accused of directing the 2002 Bali nightclub bombings and three other attacks on Western targets in Indonesia that have together killed more than 240 people...

"Noordin Top is believed to head a breakaway faction of Jemaah Islamiyah committed to al-Qaida style attacks." - AP: Asia Terror suspect may have fled Indonesia

2. So-called al Qaida terrorists often manage to escape.

It is suspected that they work for the CIA and its friends.

3. Noordin is thought to have masterminded the 2003 JW Marriott hotel bombing in Jakarta.

Some people suspect the CIA and its friends are linked to the Marriott bomb.

"Something interesting happened just hours before the explosion shocked the JW Marriott Hotel, Mega Kuningan, South Jakarta. The US Embassy cancelled the booking of 10-20 rooms in that hotel." -Prison Planet.com: Do You Have the Knowledge to Escape?

4. On April 29, 2006 Noordin Top narrowly escaped capture after his safe-house was raided by heavily armed Indonesian police in Binangun, Central Java.

The British military, the American military and the Indonesian military have long used the Moslem extremists to promote their right-wing agenda.
